1841 G.BRITAIN 1/2P MS63 BN

The 1841 Great Britain ½d (halfpenny) is a copper coin from the early Victorian era, part of the pre-decimal British currency system.

On the obverse, it features the young portrait of Queen Victoria facing left, designed during her early reign. Around the portrait is the Latin legend:
“VICTORIA D:G: BRITANNIAR: REG: F:D:” (Victoria, by the Grace of God, Queen of the Britains, Defender of the Faith).

The reverse shows the classic seated Britannia design, a symbol used on British copper coinage for many decades. Britannia is shown seated facing right, holding a trident and shield, with the inscription “HALF PENNY” and the date 1841 below.
